Casey and Mason To Haiti
It all started when…
Hi! Let me take a moment to introduce ourselves. My name is Casey (Mom) and this is Mason (my son). We are from Georgia and we are planning our first mission trip to Haiti for Spring Break of next year. We are over the moon excited about this opportunity for God to use us as His hands and feet during such a tumultuous time, in such a poverty-stricken area as Haiti, to spread His much-needed love.
For over a year now Mason has been telling me that he had a heart for missions but that he was uncertain as to where to go. I honestly kind of shrugged it off thinking that we could never afford to go on such a trip and just continued about my normal day-to-day. Mason, however, still had a mission trip weighing on his heart and continued to inform me of such. He also elaborated to let me know that he would prefer that this mission be overseas and that he would like for me to go with him.
Well, after a year of discussion, and seeing the desire of his heart, he convinced me to go out on a limb and see if we could actually make this happen. In perfect line with this timeframe, God also decided to step in and allow Michael Wahl to present us with the opportunity to go to Haiti on a DriButts mission. Mason lit up at the opportunity. This was just what he had been waiting for. This was his open door, and I wanted to do whatever I could to help make this happen.
At this point we had prayed about this mission for quite some time and my desire for this trip had grown to the same level of excitement that Mason initially had. I was ecstatic about this opportunity. Fast forward a few months and we have been fundraising and making major headway; however, we still have a substantial amount of funds to go before reaching our goal. Here is where you fabulous readers come in. Though you don’t know us, we are hoping that you can feel the desire of our hearts for this DriButts mission to Haiti, and that you would be moved to help us in any way that you can.
